Car Rental Terms and Conditions
Minimum Age Requirement
The individual renting the car must meet the following conditions:

Be at least 20 years old.

Hold a valid Irish ID or passport.

Possess a valid driver’s license issued at least 2 years ago.

If these conditions are not met, the rental agreement cannot be concluded.
Rental Payment Terms

Payment can be made in cash or by bank transfer in euros at the time of signing the contract.

The lessor may, upon request, allow payment at the end of the rental period.

If the lessee pays in advance but later refuses to collect the vehicle, the payment will not be refunded.
Vehicle Handover and Return

The car is handed over and returned based on a delivery-acceptance document, signed by both parties.

Any visible damage or missing parts upon return will be noted and assessed by a specialized company for repair costs.
Lessor’s Rights and Obligations
The lessor undertakes to:

Deliver the car in good working condition with the necessary documentation.

Provide all required equipment for safe operation.
The lessor has the right to:

Demand timely rent payments.
-
Request compensation for damages caused by the lessee.
-
Inspect the car during the rental period.
-
Transfer contract rights to a third party with prior notification.
Lessee’s Rights and Obligations
The lessee agrees to:

Use the car responsibly, following traffic laws and contract provisions.

Cover all operational expenses (fuel, tolls, etc.).
-
Not use the car for towing, taxi services, or driving lessons.
-
Use the car only within Ireland, unless written consent is given to travel abroad.

Return the car in the same condition as received, considering normal wear and tear.

Perform repairs at their own expense if the vehicle breaks down outside Ireland.
-
Inspect the car upon handover and report any issues immediately.
-
Not exceed the speed limit of 130 km/h; violations result in penalties of €2,000 per infraction and a possible increase in rental price.

Not modify the vehicle (technical, external, or internal changes).
-
Use only approved fuel (Euro 95 petrol or Euro diesel); using the wrong fuel incurs a €10,000 fine.

Keep the car clean; failure to do so results in additional cleaning fees (€250–€400, depending on the vehicle type).

Not sublease the car or allow third parties to drive without the lessor’s written approval.
Penalties for Violations

Unauthorized travel outside Ireland: €10,000 penalty.

Unauthorized repairs: €10,000 penalty.
-
Smoking in the car: €2,000 penalty.
-
Transporting animals: €2,000 penalty.
-
Speeding over 130 km/h: €2,000 penalty per violation.
-
Vehicle impounded by police: €3,000 penalty (does not cover additional fines).
-
Late return: €4 per extra km beyond the agreed mileage limit.
Liability of the Parties

The lessee is fully responsible for any damage, theft, or fines incurred during the rental period.

Any repair costs will be covered by the lessee unless they result from normal wear and tear.

If the car is unavailable for rent due to damage caused by the lessee, they must compensate the lessor for lost income.

The lessor is responsible for ensuring the car is delivered in good working order.
Final Provisions

The rental agreement is legally binding from the moment of signing.

Any additional services or minor damages will be charged as per Annex 2 of this contract.

Matters not covered in this contract will be governed by the laws of Ireland.
